Kieran Lee has come through his return to training unscathed and will be available for Saturday’s clash with Shrewsbury.
The experienced midfielder has missed the last couple of games with a long-standing hip injury, which has required careful monitoring over the last few seasons.
His last appearance came in the 1-1 draw against Cambridge, coming off the bench for the final half hour.
Ian Evatt also shared an update on defensive pair Ricardo Santos and Eoin Toal, who have been sidelined with thigh and ankle problems respectively.
The Bolton boss has previously spoken about the possibility of “rolling the dice” on the duo as Wanderers aim to maintain their place in the top six.
Evatt said: “Kieran Lee trained fine today, no issues. Rico (Santos) and Eoin (Toal) - as I said last week - the longer we can give them to rehabilitate, the better. They are improving day by day. They are not quite there yet but nearly.”
Meanwhile, Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Jack Iredale are both back training on grass as they continue their respective recoveries.
Wanderers are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, including wins against Exeter and Oxford on the road.
“We are not looking any further ahead than Saturday,” the manager added. “We have got Shrewsbury at home and we need to take care of that game first.
“It is still in our own hands, that is what we wanted. All our focus is on that game on Saturday and then we’ll focus on the next one. It is just a next game mindset for us.
“I think the mood is positive. We were all slightly disappointed with the outcome of the game on Tuesday but I think the performance was excellent, we deserved to win the game.
“We didn’t, but you don’t always get what you deserve in football. That is parked now and we are fully focused on Saturday.”
Evatt has been pleased with the character his side have shown in recent weeks amid their injury problems.
The Bolton chief hailed the players who have come into the side and delivered while others have been out of action.
“They have stepped up,” he said. “We have not had much luck with injuries, but that happens in football.
“But what we have done is have the next man stand up. If you look at the results post Wembley, eight points from four games is pretty good considering what we have been through.”
