Wanderers boss Ian Evatt hopes the Pirelli Stadium will continue to be a happy hunting ground for Victor Adeboyejo.
The 25-year-old striker scored 13 goals during a successful stint at Burton in the first half of last season.
Adeboyejo joined the Whites in January and was on target against his former club during the 1-1 draw in April.
He has scored four goals in five games this season, including a rapid hat trick in the 3-1 victory against Fleetwood earlier this month.
Evatt hopes the forward can make an impact against the Brewers once again as he rekindles his partnership with Dion Charles, who missed last weekend’s defeat against Wigan through suspension.
“I think Vic just needs to do what he has done so far for us this season,” he told The Bolton News.
“Obviously, it is a huge plus to have Dion back which is important. We missed him last week.
“We are excited to have those two paired back up together and excited to have the other ones that we have.
“Dan (Nlundulu), Jon (Dadi Bodvarsson) and Cameron (Jerome), we feel they supplement those two really well.
“For Victor, it is just about putting himself in the right positions again and trusting that the ball will find him in the box.”
Evatt insists his players cannot afford to take their eyes off the prize and hopes the squad has learned from their rude awakening against Wigan.
However, the boss is keen to focus on the bigger picture and still has plenty of belief that his side can achieve their goals over the coming season.
“It doesn’t harm having some pain and hurt, sometimes you need that as a reminder that we can’t rest on our laurels,” he added.
“Maybe there was a shade of overconfidence, I don’t know. As I said, I was very surprised with the result on Saturday, as we all were.
“It is now about how we respond as a group and as a team, and I think we have to do that the right way on Saturday by making sure we get back to the level of performance we have shown so far this season.
“As it stands, we have the most points in the league along with a few other teams.
“We have to continue in that frame of mind that we keep being positive and keep the standards we set ourselves early on. If we can do that, we are going to be a difficult team to stop.”
Wanderers have faced Burton nine times in their history and have only been on the winning side once. That result came in October 2022 when Amadou Bakayoko and Bodvarsson both scored late goals to complete a dramatic comeback at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.
