Wanderers are still waiting to see which personnel will be available for Saturday’s League One clash with Blackpool.
Tuesday night’s victory at Shrewsbury took its toll on the squad and Ian Evatt admitted they have had a “busy treatment room”.
Evatt is hopeful those who are doubts will be able to train on Friday but does not want to leave any calls until the very last minute.
“We have definitely had some bangs and bruises from Tuesday,” said the Bolton boss.
“It was a brutal, physical game and we need to give the lads an extra day to help them recover and then see where we are at. There is certainly a busy treatment room this morning.
“We are hopeful that they will all manage to be OK. There are one or two who are slightly worse than others and we need them to improve tonight to be able to train (on Friday).
“They have to train on Fridays, there is no taking it to Saturday and seeing. If you are not fit for Friday, you don’t play on Saturdays. We will see how a couple of them settle overnight, we are hopeful that they will.
“They have obviously taken home the right machinery and Matt Barrass has been working his magic with his team. Fingers crossed, they will be OK.”
Gethin Jones limped off with an ankle problem early in the second half at Shrewsbury and was replaced by Will Forrester.
Aaron Morley, who scored his third goal of the campaign at Croud Meadow, also received a knock late in the game.
West Brom loanee Zac Ashworth has trained ahead of the visit of the Seasiders. The versatile defender has spent the past month on the sidelines.
Meanwhile, Kyle Dempsey is not expected to return to the first-team picture until after the international break.
The midfielder has been recovering from a back issue and also celebrated the birth of his son – Jett Reuben Dempsey – with his partner Olivia earlier this week.
Tuesday night’s victory was Wanderers’ fourth successive win on the road, and Evatt was pleased with the character his side showed.
“Winning away from home isn’t easy,” he continued. “It is challenging and every game looks different.
“Tuesday was slightly different to the other games we have encountered but I was delighted with the basics that we did. We managed the conditions really well, we scrapped and we fought.
“We weren’t at our fluid best but sometimes the game doesn’t allow that and you have to find a different way. It is great the players managed to do that.”
