Be happy with a draw, but hope we can beat them.
I’m expected Bodvarsson to start so hopefully he’ll have a great game

I don’t think there’s any chance of Bod starting BTiD, especially with Dan unavailable so Dion and Vic it will be for me. I may be completely wrong but I actually don’t really rate Pompey. They seem to be a pretty direct side and if that doesn’t work, short on ideas and can be fragile at the back if you get at them as Blackpool proved. I’m starting to believe that we’re the real deal now so I fancy our chances against anyone, home and away, so I think we’ll beat Portsmouth and come back with the 3 points. Honours may finish even but I think we need to win to make a statement. We failed in that against Oxford when I believe we should have won and failure to beat Pompey will just pull us back into the chasing pack. I believe they may be without a player or two so with a pretty much fit squad there’s no reason not to win and show everyone on Sky what a good team we are and a good performance might increase the value of one or two of our players come January? I’m going 1-2 to Wanderers.

We had planned to stay over after the match in Oxford for a few days before making our way down to the south coast, but the change of dates and the fact that it's live on Sky made us change our minds.

After freezing our bits off and suffering a drab first-half at The Kassam Stadium , it was an easy decision to agree to return home again to warmth, comfort and, we hope, a more exhilarating experience tonight.
Bod made a big difference when he came on fhat evening and we should have won, but it looks as if he will sadly miss out. The rest need to step up and go for the win from the start!

Awful. We looked ok in the first half until Dion missed the sitter and then just never seemed to recover. We looked like Man Utd in the second half - no game plan, no system apparent, just incoherent and like a bunch of strangers. Maybe it was the occasion that got to us - it wouldn't be the first time - or maybe we were simply outplayed by Pompey who looked to be a much better team. Santos is rarely made to work that hard but knew he was in a game tonight and only came unstuck at the end. One to forget for Charles too who didn't seem to recover from that miss. Anyhow, I think that game puts some good context around where we are and what our expectations should be - battling it out with Stevenage, Derby, Blackpool and Barnsley for a playoff spot. Currently, I think Peterborough looks as good as anyone for 2nd and Oxford will miss out.

They were faster, stronger than us last night.  They were the better team - that's all there is to it.
We passed the ball straight out of play - fooled around at the back and then passed to a man on situation. While not the end of the world I think second place is our goal at the moment.
