Now that Wanderers have unveiled their new green strip for the 2024/25 season, we decided to look back at the some of the Whites' best away kits from over the years.

2022/23

Starting with a recent one, and possibly the best of the Macron era. We nearly included last season's black strip as well but it proved to be a bit of a bad luck charm!

2021/22

Another of the recent designs, this shirt was so nice Wanderers brought it back a year later.

2007/08

Simple but effective (just like the football under Big Sam).

2005/06

Another popular design from the Allardyce era.

2006-08

You need a slick design for superstars like Nicolas Anelka and this design certainly fitted the bill.

2015/16

The black and gold combination made for a popular strip - even if it was worn during a painful season!

2004/05

One of the more unique kits over the years but it has aged well. Some excellent players wore this one!

2000/01

A nice kit that became iconic following the play-off final victory against Preston North End.

2017/18

Purple kits are a bit like marmite but this one certainly looked the part.

Honourable mentions

There is still a lot of love for the red Normid shirt worn in 1988 as Wanderers won promotion from the Fourth Division.

It's good to see the club still selling versions of the classic 1981-82 and 1990-93 shirts (of course, the former is our favourite with the BEN sponsor on the front!)

I may be influenced by the players wearing them but the two kits with abbreviated Reebok RBK logos on them look by far the best to me - top-tier, simple and slick. Albeit important, sponsors logos so often dumb-down kits and we’ve had an our fair share in recent years after being spoiled rotten with a Reebok logo in better times.
Evatt seems to be addressing key positions already with hopefully more to come that deserve to wear the badge. At the end of the day, I couldn’t care less about the colour or design of the shirt, it’s a team with talent and mentality to match that counts.
I’m looking forward to this season already and will only be watching League 1 football. I’m done with the Premier League until the cheating stops.
