Looking Back: Moor Lane was home to both bus station and car park

Today much of the area is being transformed into housing but in 1954 when this photo was taken, this was the view looking down on Bolton’s Moor Lane bus station and car park.

In the background, on the right, you can just make out the Albion Hotel.

You can also see the large kiosk for coach tickets at the back of the photo and on the left are some of the stands for bus passengers.
