Wanderers have “one or two” injury doubts for the visit of Exeter but have had positive news on Klaidi Lolos.
The versatile attacker has not featured since picking up an ankle issue against Leyton Orient on the opening day.
There was a chance Lolos could need surgery to repair the injury but Ian Evatt confirmed that is not the case.
“We have got one or two niggles and issues at the moment,” said the manager. “The injury room is quite busy but nothing really substantial, some might not make it (for Saturday) and some will.
“But I think after the international window, the vast majority will be back.
“Klaidi has had good news, he doesn’t need surgery so he is probably four weeks away which is a lot better than we thought.”
Victor Adeboyejo missed the win at Shrewsbury in midweek, while Scott Arfield limped off during the second half.
The likes of Chris Forino, Jordi Osei-Tutu and Jay Matete impressed after coming into the side in Shropshire.
When asked about selection headaches for Exeter, Evatt replied: “I am not going to have loads of options, or as many as I would have had, because of the injuries.
“But we have got options and whatever team starts, we will be able to impact it from the bench as well.
“The players are still getting used to the shape and each other, building relationships. The new recruits are still getting up to speed and the ones who missed pre-season are still getting there as well.
“As I said the other night, the clunkiness and mixed bag in terms of results isn’t unexpected. I do think we are going to get progressively better and I thought Tuesday was a good sign.”
The Bolton chief also shared a positive update on Carlos Mendes Gomes, who has been out of action since suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon against Wigan in February.
Evatt says Gomes’ rehabilitation has been “excellent” so far and confirmed the 25-year-old will be named in Wanderers’ squad quota at the end of the transfer window.
“Carlos is way ahead of schedule and probably looking at seven to eight weeks for returning to play, which isn’t too far away,” he added.
“It has been (a long road back) and we have to get him there and keep him in piece. But his rehabilitation has been excellent.
“He is way ahead of where we thought he would be. I would think after the second international break, he won’t be far away.”
