The news we've all been waiting for, He's regained fitness and sorted any mental issues he might have had and will be on the bench this weekend.

If he continues to improve and sorts his attitude out then he will become the goalscorer we desperately need!

It ses in BN he's pushing for a place on the bench. Got a feeling his time is limited Im afraid.

So we paid 3.5 mil nearly a year ago for someone who is nearly ready to sit on the bench.

Don't sound right somehow.

Yes, I concur, brilliant signing. It's a mystery why Coyle never played him last year and seems to be dogged by mystery this.

We still don't really know what we've got with Marvin. Played in a system that didn't suit him under OC but was great for England. If DF gives him the kind of freedom to shoot as he gave Ngog he may just turn out to be a bargain, but we just haven't seen him play with freedom as yet. I think we need to give him time.

People need to get off his back a little, he's a young lad moving away from everyone he knows, off the back of great form for Watford his confidence would have been sky high, and he would have hoped to atleast started a few prem games.. Instead he's left to rot on the sidelines and this must have been so frustrating for him.

He has not moaned or criticised coyle or the club and now dougie has come in and seems to have got sordy on the right track, he probably hasn't played in the last few weeks due to lack of fitness along with the racism issue. In his first start he scored... If he can produce his best form again with the return of Holden and wheatear then we will look a much better team.

Totally agree. If he is on the bench saturday then comes on and does well then whis saying he wont be in the starting line up soon? People are critisizing his performances previously but i dont think we have seen enough of him to judge yet

Our under-21 side suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Everton this evening. Sordell the Bolton scorer. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Getting back into it, I see.

Have our under 21's actually won a game? They're awful.

I agree - which makes it all the more impressive that he got a goal playing with that shower we call our U21's.

I'm tired of hearing nonsense about being home sick and other crap .....he is 4 hours away from Mommy in his Jag......I also feel he can fly down to London for one or pennies. If that's the case then get out of professional football.

Give the lad a good run of games to get fit and confidence....that's the medicine.

Agreed Terenceanee

Hes 21 not a child, most people have moved away from home by the age of 21, many to a whole new city. Think of it the other way, how many thousands of 20 year olds go off to London to try to start their career, not knowing a single person and on crap money.

He coming somewhere where he will be more recognised by people in Bolton on the first day than any of us would be if we spent a week walking around the town centre. His job consists with working with employees of the same age all trying to work together, most probably with similar interests, finishes at 2-3 O'clock and gets a long summer break. And hes earning thousands of pounds a week - take the fact that hes playing football out of it and its still a dream job.

I can understand he might have been disappointed not to start last season but how long has it taken him to sort his head out and and get his fitness up, if he had been putting more in he would have had more chances, to be behind Afobe is poor.. He better put in a lot of effort on the field when he gets his chance... mental strength of spoilt 6 year old.

Say all you want about N'gog, at least he tries.

But if he repays on the pitch all is forgiven of course.

He can always buy an X Box and play X Box live. That could cure his boredom.
