It has been reported that Eaves has been recalled to Bolton after his successful loan spell. He will be available for the Leeds game on New Years day subject to injuries.

Is he not available for tomorrow or Birmingham?
Despite him scoring a few I don't think he will make the grade, league 1 or 2 is his level.

From what I read about his loan spell at Bristol Rovers. Eaves wasn't effective playing in the lone striker roll. He improved more in a 4-4-2 formation, so he's probably got little chance of starting for us. I also don't think he's good enough to start for us as well.

He has scored 7 goals in 16 games for Bristol Rovers and his last game for them is on Saturday. He scored a hat trick against us when he played for Oldham in a pre season friendly and that's why Coyle signed him.

It's all well and good saying it's only bristol rovers he has scored for but we will never know if the lad is good enough until we give him a fair crack at the whip in our first team.

I don't know why people are down on Eaves. After all, our first team strikers aren't exactly covering themselves in glory, are they?
Eaves is doing something that we desperately need, and that is score. never mind the level, he has a different mind set to the tossers we are curently putting out each game. We call for youth, and then slate it before it gets a chance. Make your minds up guys, as we all know the team needs a bloody good shake-up. A combination of youth and experience is far better than one of laziness and discontent.

We will never know unless we give him a chance.
