I didn't know until today that after his loan spell with us finished, he came out and said 'I loved it at Bolton, all we did was play 5 aside' No wonder we were relegated for fuck sakes, 5 aside and ping pong while they should have been training! Why was Phil happy to let this happen?

I thought it was common knowledge, it wasn't just Danny who said it either, Wilshere said the same IIRC.

I think coyle tried to hard to implement his passing style on players who aren't good enough to do it. Therefore he spent most time trying to teach them I guess?
When he finally realised they weren't good enough he reverted back to hoofball and in the end he didn't have a clue what to do.
He should've stayed with burnley then took over someone like Swansea, I reckon things could have been very different for him.
