Well his phone as been ringing and now we know what he's been up to!
Owen Coyle may have been out of football management since being sacked by Bolton in October, but the 46-year-old is still deemed famous enough to star in computer game Omerta: City Of Gangsters – apparently.
One eagle-eyed Twitter user spotted the facial similarities between the former Bolton boss and the character Emmet ‘Doc’ O’Connel in the new game.
And it’s safe to say the resemblance is pretty terrifying even, as @umopapisdnpuaq pointed out, down to the frown lines on Coyle’s/Doc’s forehead – lines which no doubt became far more pronounced during Coyle’s tenure at the Reebok Stadium.
In @umopapisdnpuaq’s demonstrative picture, he shows how the Scot’s wrinkle lines and eyebrows have been flipped and tweaked slightly to create the new character.
While it’s not quite Fifa ’13 for Coyle, who is reportedly in talks over the managerial vacancy at Blackpool, it’s certainly a more interesting entrance to the computer games world than typically taken by the likes of Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and co.
