Seems like Doogie is not interested in Spearing or Dawson after the season ends..... it might just be banter on his behalf to keep the price down but what would be wrong with putting a bid in?
I would sign both if the price is right. Both have worked out well for us and how can we survive back in the Prem (should we get there) without two of the first teamers.
What do you lot think?

I doubt Dougie is foolish enough not to want to sign Dawson.

Personally I'd sell Ngog, SKD and Sordell to put towards a bid for Dawson.

If we could I'd like to sign both.

You can't always get what you want.

They will likely not want to sell, or will want top dollar for Dawson after seeing what he can do.

It will also alert other clubs, probably better than us, looking for a CB.

We may as well play our cards close to our chest. We can't do any business outside the window which opens 1st July I believe.Spearing thinks he may still have a career at Anfield and may be relluctant to commit. WBA say Dawson is not for sale. The situations for both may change come the summer. I think we will all have to be patient and see what happens.

West Brom would never sell Dawson, all of their fans have raved about him for the past couple of seasons and regard him as the future of the club. No harm in trying but trust me unless we stumped up big money we'd stand no chance, Jeremy Peace is a notoriously tough negotiator too, he'd milk us for all he could.

As for Spearing taking him would depend on the price and what league we're in, he hasn't shown the ability to do it in the premier league for Liverpool, so it would still be a risk in my eyes regardless of how well he's played for us this year. Wait till the end of the season and see what the situation is.

I don't think Liverpool want Spearing, so I'm sure they'd accept a bid for him and if we are in the Premiership then I can't see why he wouldn't want to (if they don't want him)

Hopefully Dawson will want to leave West Brom for first team football...

Interesting. He has pace but he seems to have gone off the boil at Liverpool. Only young, so time is on his side. He could be an interesting acquisition because he likes to run with the ball and take players on.

Brendan Rodgers had confirmed neither Suso or Raheem Sterling are available for loan.

I think Spearing really enjoys it at the club and I feel he would be worth signing, especially if we make it back to the prem.

His value has probably shot up to around the 15m mark, champions league/European clubs will be sniffing come July.

Why can't Dawson get into the West Brom squad?

Seems Steve Clark rates the other 3 centre backs he has on the books more than Dawson at the moment.

You can see why really, WBA have done really well this season.
