Not got so many over the winter so fingers crossed for this test. Big Big 12 months coming up with Aussies back to back, needs to be somewhere around the 340 mark this time next year to be in with a good chance. I would hope he will be around another 3-4 years, this England set up seems on the ball managing workload and rest.

Jimmy's just had a few niggly injuries of late which hopefully won't end up being a concern over the next few years.

How can we be so sh1te against a team like New Zealand. It does my head in. When the Aussies were top of the pile for years they were totally ruthless,just used to steamroller everybody and were totally professional. For once we have a half decent team but unless it's the Aussies or South Africa we seem to assume that all we have to do is turn up to win. New Zealand, bloody New Zealand!

Compared to previous decades, and compared to other nations we play far too many international tests which are interspersed with T20, one-dayers etc - which there never used to be! If anything, like Australia dn India and some other nations we should basically have 2 teams - the Test players and the the ones who do the rest - as has been shown many times there are some who are great as Test players but useless at the others and vice versa.
