"We Have No Heads" as it's the most mental song of all time....

It's the words, man....the words.....

Sluffy wrote:Seven Drunken Nights

Plus the words for the two verses they can't sing! -

And as I went home on Saturday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw two hands upon her breasts where my old hands should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns them hands upon your breasts where my old hands should be

Ah, you're drunk,
you're drunk you silly old fool,
still you can not see
That's a lovely night gown that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But fingers in a night gown sure I never saw before

As I went home on Sunday night as drunk as drunk could be
I saw a thing in her thing where my old thing should be
Well, I called me wife and I said to her: Will you kindly tell to me
Who owns that thing in your thing where my old thing should be

Ah, you're drunk,
you're drunk you silly old fool,
still you can not see
That's a lovely tin whistle that me mother sent to me
Well, it's many a day I've travelled a hundred miles or more
But hair on a tin whistle sure I never saw before
listened to this today  Very Happy

There was an Irish bar I used to go into, in Amsterdam, that had a live "Irish" band that played Irish folk music every Sunday evening.   I will be visiting again in December and January. - and the bar is called Aran Irish bar, next to the Hard Rock Café (opposite the Casino) on Max Euweplein!

I also like the leaving of Liverpool by the Dubliners.

I'm not at all Irish but I used to take an Irish girl I "was fond of" to see a band around Manchester called Toss the Feathers who were half decent and I've enjoyed a couple of overly alcoholic nights in their company.

The Saw Doctors were quite the big thing with the Oirish community not too long ago. I wonder what happened to them?
