Not sure if this has been flagged up before but it's a fairly sensational article about where Rovers money has gone. Enjoy.

The article was mentioned in the Blackburn thread (MD suspended) on the Wandering Minds part of the forum but we may as well let this thread remain for others who may not have seen over there.

Thanks Sluffy. I read the initial Blackburn farce post but couldn't be arsed to read the follow up posts.

It has been reported (or made up) that they have a short fall of £2 million a month.

I find it strange that Gael Givet doesn't get a game. He'll be on some rent as well.

Blackburn's accounts further beg the question of where our money is going. From the pieces I've picked out from this:

it seems their wage bill has been in a similar region to ours for years and a larger percentage of turnover, yet their accumulated losses are nothing like ours.

Is that because we're paying 10% p.a. on loan interest to Eddie D so that's >£10 million before we start?

The Accounts say that it's just over 5% -so not as bad as you fear. But its still £5 m each year- a couple of decent players in money terms

An example of when non-football people try to run a club.
Good luck to our local mates ..... barre when they play us of course.

Must win for Rovers today too. Expect them to beat Huddersfield at home, but after that they have Watford away, Millwall away, Palace at home and Brum away - tough run-in.
