Holden Recalled

Not sure if this has already been posted but Dave Jones today announced that Holden will rejoin us Wednesday and that is why he did not play today.

'Wednesday's team sheet for the Ipswich Town match came as a bit of a shock as it did not include on-loan midfielder Stu Holden in the matchday 18.

There were initial fears of injury from the Bolton fan base but that was not the case as Stu was left out by Wednesday manager Dave Jones. Speaking after the match, Jones cleared the situation up:

"Bolton will pull Holden back so we couldn't risk him today considering the favour we've had from them"

In the post-match reaction on the Owls' official website, Jones added:

"Bolton are in a play-off spot, they have one or two injuries, and they want him back.

"He's got better and stronger as his loan has gone on and I would like to thank him for his services and wish him the very best for the future."

Bolton will welcome Stu back on Wednesday and fans should expect to see him in Bolton's final two matchday squads.'

Good move. Holden now has more game time under his belt and with Spearing out, we could do with him re-capturing his form for out run-in.

You're kidding yourself he was out for almost 2 years. He made his return against Sunderland mid January, since then he's played about 6 games.

You really don't have a clue if you think he should be 100%, match fit so soon after 2 years out with injuries as bad as that.

It takes time, and the loan move has made it possible much faster - masterstroke from Dougie.

Form is temporary, class is permanent.

With our injury situation and Dawson going back shortly we can only hope Stuey will find some form quickly.
