Young Jordan Clark for Lancashire against Yorkshire Very Happy Second XI becomes only the fifth man to do it in professional cricket.

Well done Jordan...

God, I remember watching Gary Sobers on the news being the first to ever do it - nearly 45 years ago.

Jesus where did all that time go?

Well done Jordan.

I honestly didn't think that anybody liked Cricket, I thought it was just a place to go to get pissed and watch fireworks.

I read somewhere that Chris Gayle got the fastest ton t'other day in the IPL, 30 balls. afro

That's some going.

I was watching the Chris Gayle innings before.

Think he got 175 not out from something like 78 balls in the end.

Prefer Test Match cricket myself.

I like the way that the drama can at times build up and even a draw from a seemingly impossible position can be exciting, edge of the seat stuff.

True there can be some dire stuff too - but when cricket is good, it can be very good indeed!

I prefer Test cricket as well but some cricket fans have really snobby ideas about 20/20 cricket.

It's what it is, a few hours of quick entertaining cricket.

Although the last Test match I watched at Old Trafford (2005) was against the Stani's and we beat them in just over two and half days. Very Happy

Cricket is a good day out if the weathers nice.

I've been England vs West Indies and vs Australia.

Got absolutely shitfaced. Like nearly everyone else who was there.

I used to watch a lot of club cricket (Lancashire League), Nelson being my team.

I've seen some great pro's turn out for Nelson like Collis King, Kapil Dev, Graham Roope, Steve Waugh, Joe Scuderi and Roger Harper.

Not to mention other professionals playing for other clubs in the league like Allan Donald and Shane Warne and many more.

The drink always flowed.

When I was a youngster I did similar, except with the Bolton Cricket League, or whatever the name it went under.

Every weekend my parents used to take me all around the various areas of Bolton to watch teams like Heaton, Astley Bridge, Farnworth, Kersley, etc play.

It was sort of a family day out. I don't think my mam and dad liked the cricket especially but it was often a lovely day in the sun and a rest for them both. We had no car, so travelled to and from on the bus.

I was so young I didn't really even follow a team, I just wanted to visit all the various grounds and watch the cricket.

It was odd really because apart from the summer test matches there wasn't that much cricket on the telly to follow - this was before the John Player League started or the dominance of one day cricket by Lancashire.

I wasn't even any good at playing cricket - I just caught the bug somehow and loved it.

Happy days and so long ago.

Oh aye, I forgot to mention....... Nelson have won the most League titles than any other club. afro

The last one coming over a decade ago away at Rawtenstall. We mobbed Roger Harper and drenched him in beer.

I realise 20/20 can probably be really exciting,it's just I can't summon up any enthusiasm for it whatsoever. It's gotten really big over the last few years but I just can't be arsed with it and as for all this Indian Premier League stuff - YAWN. I can live with 40/50 over one day cricket and can enjoy it to a certain extent but in the end the only results that matter, that you remember years later are the results of 3/5 day cricket, ie proper cricket, cricket with proper cricket skills.
