That's what I mean he made a big deal, telling the world he was giving his wages to starving kids, telling the world how much of a saint he is, telling the world how much he cares for people, letting people know on SSN and stuff.

Didn't last long though, all it was, was a big PR stunt to show how kind he is to boost up his CV for a knighthood .

Probably pig nose told him to do it.

In truth, we didn't need to know he was donating his salary to charity. To make an announcement smacks of PR stunt. I appreciate his dedication to his craft though - I've heard of hours spent practicing free kicks on his own that have shown their value in games. Farewell Becks but it's time we moved on.

Get what you're saying, but don't agree. PSG's owners will have wanted it announced as much as he did, it's excellent PR for the club giving money to kids in Paris.

Why shouldn't they announce it? Helps to raise awareness of the charity itself, which is part of the point.

Think it's cynical condemning him for that, he didn't need the good PR really he's already one of the most popular people on the planet bound to get a knighthood regardless of the donation, fully deserved IMO he represents the country very well.
