New Benidorm

It's not one of the best comedies ever written but the first three series were very watchable.
The fourth series on the other hand was shocking. I couldn't see the point in any of the new characters whatsoever.
So I'm not expecting much from this new series but I'll be watching it anyhow. Will anyone else be bothering?

My Dad raves about it but I've never seen it to be honest.

It looks like a lot of common folk with fat bellies. I get enough of that at the Reebok.

Speaking of common folk with fat bellies has anyone been following the latest exploits on Coach Trip ? The two toffs from London didn't half have a go at the Fat Slags!

I'll be watching Benidorm - and when I get a bit of spare time I'll catch up with Coach Trip too via iplayer.

Two of my favourite programmes - which probably explains a lot about me!

Either way it would be a case of more bounce per ounce. Those two lasses are built for comfort and not for speed. Probably the one without the tattoos on her upper torso if it was a case of Hobsons choice.

Exactly. Tim Healey plays his tranny dad so that may explain it! Did you notice that Denice never mentioned her son when she was in the Big Brother house ?

I thought he - along with two or three other new characters ruined the series, RT. I wanted to press fast-forward every time he was on the screen. Not just because he's cringeworthy, but because he's not funny or even interesting. What were they thinking bringing him into it?

The drunken South African was another pointless character aswell, I thought.

It's always difficult when they try to introduce new characters. I thought the blonde scouse bird who turned out to be a magpie played the part very well. I don't think Tim Healey did anything for the Tranny cause but the Spanish lothario barman looked good in a skirt and high heels.

I have never really got into Benidorm, it's not that I don't like it but I just wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.

I think Steve Pemberton (league of gentlemen & whitechappel) is a cracking character actor.

So what did we all make of it?

I thought it was just as ridiculous as the last series and I was disappointed to see they haven't got rid of the ginger moron and Gavin's painful homosexual pal.
Still quite funny in parts though.

I thought it was bloody hilarious, I love every character to be honest!

Whats her name that plays the new manager has spoiled it a little for me as Chrissy Rock didn't feature that much in previous series' but when she was on she was very dry. This new one reminds me of a female version of a Reg Holdsworth (funnily enough the actress played Reg Holdsworths wife) and very irritating.

Gavin's pal, I think, will be a good one to watch this series, now that he has his own crimpers in the complex - can think of many funny situations in there, and I bet they will appear on screen throughout the series.

Keeping Les/Lesley's son in, I think, was inevitable, know that Les/Leskey works at the complex - his slapstick, although, will drive me mad as the series goes on, with him being a complete imbecile handyman.

Is Johnny Vegas not in this series ?

Nope, nor was he in the last.

Pity, I thought he was very funny. His senile mother plays a good part.

Watched it, wanted it to be good, a bit hit and miss.

Thought Gavin was funny, i'll be watching again this Friday.

Caught up with the last two episodes on iplayer - wish I hadn't of bothered!

I've liked Benidorm but the current series as been poor so far - hope for a vast improvement soon.
