Bolton were on a home roll going into the Blackpool game. 8 wins on the trot and then we're 2-0 down to bloody Blackpool.
Bolton pull it back by half-time but the second 45 minutes was a total anti-climax with little effort put in to win the game.
Is it possible that the Bolton players didn't want to get promoted? And maybe even the manager?
Let's face it, the vast majority of the current Bolton team is shit. How many of them would have been comfortable in the Premier League? Not many, and I'm guessing the players knew this. Promotion would mean new players.
So why would the players give 100% for a cause that could see them relegated to the reserves or sold to another Championship (or worse) club?
Would you give 100% if your boss gave you a target, but you knew hitting that target would mean you being made redundant?
Is it just possible our fate was decided before a ball was kicked?
