That used to be common though back in the day.
It's only really been the last 30 to 40 years or so that 'dad's' have been present at the birth - most used to wait outside the delivery room.

I sat right next to my Mrs during two planned caesarean operations. She wasn't there to comfort me, during my Vasectomy. Ouch!

Hi all. Well my little girl pearl amber was born at 1:49 wednesday morning. They came home last night. Been trying to post her first pic up I took ten minutes after she was born but it wont let me. Sluffy, could I send the pic to you to upload for me please. Thanks for all the messages etc. Johnny

Congrats matey, glad to hear all is well. My wife is 16 weeks gone with our first child. Morning sickness is not the word
