I need to name my pet spider

It's not actually a pet as he's wild but he lives in my greenhouse and he's effing huge.

Every time I go into the greenhouse to water my crops the vibration on his webs springs him into action. He fires out of his den and looks at me as if to say 'you're going to taking some eating, you bloater'.

Two days ago I had to warn the resident frog in there not to eat him. 'Shoo shoo, get up t'other end ready for the slugs' I said.

I think it's about time that I gave him a proper name.

Has anyone got any good names? The one with the best name will get a mixed bag of veg (when it's ready, we've had a bad winter you know).
