Can't say I rate him myself but -
DAVID Wheater has landed a two-year extension to his Wanderers contract.
The defender had 12 months left to run on his current deal but, as reported by The Bolton News on July 7, the club had made move to secure his future amidst reported interest from his former club Middlesbrough.
Wheater missed most of last season with a knee injury, picking up a calf problem soon after his return in late February.
Now he is looking forward to getting his Wanderers career back on track.
“It's all signed and sorted, so you're stuck with me for another three years now,” he said.
“After last season and all the injury problems it's exactly what I needed – to get my immediate future sorted.
“I've said before, I love the area, the team, and everyone is nice so I really don't see any reason I'd want to leave.”
