Crap Players That Always Get Signed

There seem to be certain players that are widely renown for being absolute shite, but some mug always pays big bucks for them.

Steward Downing is a prime example. He did ok at his first club Middlesbrough, but seems to have been living off that spell for the rest of his career.

He did nothing special at Aston Villa but got signed by madman Kenny Dalglish for £20m to Liverpool. He did fuck all at Liverpool and now Fat Sam has paid £5m to take him to West Ham. Why?

We all know he will be a disaster at West Ham, so why do decent managers keep paying big money for proven shite?

Any other players fit into this category?

Why did Mad bastard Kenny Dalglish pay £20 million for Downing ?

To feed £35 million flop Andy 'Christmas' Caroll with crosses so he'd bang a few in.

It didn't work out and cost Liverpool £55 Million in wastage.

Maybe Big Sam has the same idea of feeding Christmas Caroll with a few crosses .

Yes it is quite amazing Liverpool paid £20m for a player like Downing. If he was right footed no one would have paid any more than £6m for him.

Over rated players who always seem to get signed - Emile Heskey comes to mind.

There are also some players who seem to be a jinx, where ever they go they get relegated. Paul Dickoff is an example

Alonso turned out alright in the last year to be fair, though under coyle he was piss poor.
