Thinking of buying a new Tablet. Comes down to either Samsung Galaxy Tab 10", with 16mg for 199 dollars or the Samsung Galaxy Note 10" with 16mg for 279 dollars.
Anybody recommend either and do I really need the extras which come with the note?

I can't comment on those tabs tbh but I have a Nexus 7.

When i first got it i used it all the time but considering i also have a smartphone I've found myself using it less and less.

Is the note also a phone? If it is I'd go with that. best of both worlds

Depends what you want it for.

Imo, stay away from RIM (blackberry) and IOS (apple) products as the apps are silly money.

Android is the way forward, you can get most of the same apps you can in apple or blackberry stores plus more for free.

Samsung has the market cornerd in android tabs but if your not rrally arsed about screen quality and playing lots of media, you can find a simple sub100 quid android tablet on amazon - the cheap ones are only good for reafing and basic net browsing though, they have not much memory or RAM (processing power) so struggle/cant really play streaming media

Got a Nexus 7 which is really good, but I dropped it the other day (not hard) and it's packed in. Still in warranty so going to see what I can do about that.

My dad won an Ipad mini which is excellent, if your not too techy it's far superior to the Nexus and any other Android IMO, easy to use and the screen is very good.

I have an iPad 2 but also have an s3 smartphone. Bought the iPad first but think I'd get an android, Samsung now off experience. Everything is incestuous with apple, I have two iPods also, and it pisses me off when iTunes goes tits up, which it can do quite easily. Hooky stuff can be a pain to put on my iPad. Get a Samsung tablet!
Btw I can hook my S3 up as as modem to my iPad when no wifi is present.

I've already decided it will be a Samsung, I was wondering if it's worthwhile to get the Note or the Tab. Is the Note worth 80 dollars more than the Tab?

I could be wrong but the only difference with the note and tab is that the note is also a fully.functioning smartphone.

Do you know what the Note does (I know you can write on it with the stylus and it then translates the writing into print) that the Tab doesn't.?
I am leaning to the 10" Tab as I intend to watch TV on it, this way I can watch 3 games at a time, TV, CPU and Tab

I'm not sure what the difference is other than what you've said. Check they have an sd card slot though. So cheap to buy off eBay now and a great way to use for different things. I download a lot of films and music using my tablet and just bought a media center for twelve quid of eBay that hooks upto the tv which I can plug the sd card in. In fact I'm just using my tab now to watch under the dome episode 4.

I downloaded the first 9. Will get through four and five tonight. Plus they have just commissioned a second series which King had already wrote the first episode. Just hope it doesn't lose its way like lost

Funny how you folks are watching Under The Dome (the #1 show here in the US) and I've not seen any of it, but I'm watching Broadchurch here on BBC America (only up to episode 4) and looking forward to next week as they will be having four consecutive nights of the latest Luther. (don't know why but that Alice chick turns me on)
