If you could go back to any point in time to witness something historical, a football match or even a family event what would it be?

I've always been interested to see what my parents were like at my age back in the day, or even my grandparents for that matter.

Where would you go??

Woodstock for me, 1969.
My Grandad told me many years ago that 1923Cup Final was manic and special also.

The sixties was a great decade to be a teenager in.

I think we are living in probably the most significant time in all of history, both past, present and the future - like technology wise, the end of racism and homophobia, coming towards the end of fossil fuels, etc. Sadly I don't think eras like the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s will ever happen again. Everything is so modern now.
I would have preferred to have experienced the 70s over the 60s. I never liked the Beetles.

Loved the sixties. Same as SK, a brilliant time to be a teenager, but just wish I'd been a year or so older, so that I could join in all the goings on.

MB, you're right about the decades up to now, but I think history will refer to this era as the time of waste. Fossil fuels , uncontrolled birth rates, rampant wars, all are using up irreplaceable resources. I once read that the world will end, not by war or disease, but by pollution. I feel sorry for our future generations, as they will pay for the way we live today. (off for a lie down, as I'm depressed now Smile )
