Is it right that the trouble is so bad at the Rovers - Burnley games that the only way the away fans can travel is via the clubs coach service?

That's the thing, the trouble hasn't been that bad since the 70's and 80's.

Away fans have to buy a ticket and a coach seat when they go to the ticket office. No one gets to travel unless they have both these tickets.

You can only get both of these tickets if you are known to the club (Season Ticket, number, loyalty points ..etc).

The only reason I ask is my dad works with a guy, he's a burnley fan and lives about 10minutes from ewood park. Meaning last season he had to drive to burnley, then get on a coach back into blackburn...fucking madness if you ask me.

Happens with all league games in Holland.  Away fans have to travel with the club coaches and cannot travel alone.

So that's why there's a train stop near to the Philips Stadion Eindhoven then. Rolling Eyes

Just as much as Amsterdam Arena has its own stop - but only home fans are allowed through.

No away fans are allowed through as the station lead to the homes gates (or both sets of gates when its a non-league game and the separation fence gates are open)

Away fans are on coaches and escorted by police to/from the ground.

I'm almost certain that I've seen Ajax fans getting off the train in Eindhoven and kicking off.

Kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes and the visiting supporters' seats remained empty. All 1600 Ajax fans were locked out after some of them vandalised two trains from Amsterdam.

Not denying what you said BUT what I did say was the fans are not allowed through the gates - unlike over here they have reinstated the proper tocket gates at stations - and also, just like over here, away fans can end up with the home fans etc etc etc. Nothing is completely water-tight but they have a good go of it in Holland

What you said BWFC71 is that away supporters 'have' to travel on club coaches.

They clearly don't have to.

It's because they have to keep watch on them for sheep tampering!

Someone told me that back in the 1970s during the Newcastle v Sunderland games, some fans used to bring darts to the game and throw them into the opposite fans. Ouch.
What was the question again?

To answer the original question the op asks. Yes, the last time the dibble used those metal sheets to separate the fans was against stoke 3 seasons ago.
