MAT - BWFC

Here's one for your memory banks - from all the times I was going to away matches from the mid 70's onwards every train station or ground I went to had this lads moniker 'MAT BWFC' in spray paint somewhere on it -I believe these days they would call it a 'tag' - so I want to know who knows who Mat was/is??
