England v New Zealand on BBC at the moment. It's turning into a cracker. 6-0 to us!

It's been said a lot but football really could learn a lot from rugby, a proper mans game for sure. No pathetic play acting.

I agree Aaron. They take the big hits but just carry on without the rolling around on the pitch as if they had been shot.aaron_bwfc wrote:It's been said a lot but football really could learn a lot from rugby, a proper mans game for sure. No pathetic play acting.
8-8 at half time.

14-12 to New Zealand. Pity we missed the kick to make it 14-14

I've got BT Sport and I am flitting between the Rugby and the Merseyside derby. Currently 3-2 to Everton with minutes to go. How the hell Mourinho can't see Lukaku as the answer to Chelsea's scoring problems is a bloody mystery. He's bagged two against Liverpool.

I can think of two ex Bolton players who would have excelled at Rugby League-Nat Lofthouse and Kevin Davies. I know from personal experience that Nat loved Rugby League.
Great game today but the final is what I expected it to be when I purchased my ticket a few weeks ago. Tbh the England coach is about as popular as a turd in a swimming pool with fans this side of the hill, but he looked to have got his selection right today.

We were very unlucky with only seconds to go.

Somebody earlier passed a comment about play acting, Aaron I think it was, in this instance when Nat mentions players being ponces I have to agree. Some of the play acting sickens me and some of the so called hard cases like Barton and that dickhead Savage from four or five years ago wouldn't last five seconds when a sixteen stone second row forward comes bearing down on them at a great rate of knots!
As an aside our own Warren Joyce apparently had a great future in prospect until he took a serious neck injury and came through the ranks at Burnden, furthermore Wigan's Matt Smith was at Everton just after Rooney but didn't make the grade. He found his way to Wigan via St Helens and Salford, has a great kicking game and should at least have made the England squad, re. my earlier coach comment.
Australia will not have it all their own way next Saturday and I wouldn't like to call it. New Zealand are the World Champions and in all my years watching RL I have to say that New Zealanders have a physical edge with them that no other team seems to have.
I'm looking forward to the day and having an early start in Manc. Three points at Boro should top it off nicely!!

To close the thread yesterday's game was so one sided it was embarrassing. I think I can confidently say England's forwards would have at least been interested!
England were the only team to score a try against the Aussies IIRC.
