I have bought my fiancé the latest United top - yeah I know she is a United fan!!!!

But the question here is was it a pure act or love or lunacy on my part? - luckily, one saving bit of grace was that I didn't have to touch the shirt or go into a United shop as it was bought online!

And before anyone asks this is true

You should be encouraging her to become a Bolton fan...

I do keep trying - including a few games we have been to so far this season (it just that every time we have been we have lost, so that doesn't help!!!)

I went out with a girl who was a United fan. I tried to convince her of the error of her ways but alas, it wasn't to be. We parted company due to our separate affiliations and I ended up marrying a proper Manc whose Grandfather was a big City fan. Fortunately, City were shit at the time so it was never an issue.

my 6 year old tells me he is a United fan now, he was born in Manchester (i moved to Manchester when the wife fell pregnant). All his friends support City or United so it feels like fighting a loosing battle.

I've even bought him a season tickets for the second year but he doesn't want to go (can't blame him for that, neither do i at the moment!)

I have a feeling one of my in-laws is going to buy him a United shirt for Christmas, what do i do?

Took my nephews to the Reebok for 6 years. Spent a fortune on them. Now one supports Liverpool the other Everton. The back stabbing little bastards. Had one of them chosen you know who they would have needed some form of witness protection programme.

Threaten them all, if they do you'll break their legs.
