Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman says the Championship club have received "no concrete offers" for out-of-favour striker David Ngog.

The 24-year-old, who has scored once in 15 appearances this term, has been linked with Turkish club Bursaspor.

"There's always going to be speculation when players are out of the team," said Freedman. "We've had no official offers, but we have had two enquiries."

"David is a good player and he has a part to play."

But the Scot continued: "Right now, he has lost his form and is out of the team. He has to accept that and do something about it.

"Naturally, some players move on and some players dig deep. David will decide what he wants to do. We feel David has got to make that decision. Does he want to fight for his place or does he want to move on?"

Bolton paid Liverpool £4m for French forward Ngog in August 2011. In 87 games for Wanderers, he has scored 13 times.

His last start - and only goal of the campaign - came in a 2-0 win at Bournemouth on 2 November.

Freedman will look to add to his squad in January in an attempt to boost his side's faltering season - Bolton lie 16th in the Championship, 11 points away from a play-off spot and just five above the relegation zone.

With Marc Tierney out injured with a broken foot, a new left-back is a priority.

Speaking to BBC Radio Manchester, Freedman added: "We know exactly what we would like to achieve in January in terms of bringing people in, but you've got to be very realistic. You've got to balance the books and make sure the club's healthy going forward.

"There are one or two players that we have to move on to play some football, may that be selling them or loaning them, but as we speak there's not been any concrete offers."

Said Freedman,"We've had no official offers, but we have had two enquiries."

Yeah.......

The first one was:

"Why the fuck did you buy that clown? He was shit at Liverpool, so why did you think he was worth £4m?"

And the second one was:

"Do you seriously think anybody else would be stupid enough to pay money to take his useless arse off your hands ?"

We are trying to sell the worst professional in the history of BWFC, add to that the most selfish, and to put the cherry at the top of the cake, he's got the worst attitude , he's been a total failure .

No one is going to give us money for a "so called" professional footballer like this waste of space.

Scottjames- he might perform better where there are more creative players around him- players who can thread balls down the channels to his feet. He's not had that sort of service at the Reebok.
Worst professional n terms of attitude?
I think there are others who might compete for that accolade. Try Michael Ricketts- moved on to a 'bigger' club' called Middlesborough. Nathan Blake wasn't exactly industrious. Petrov had trouble understanding the concept of tracking back.
It wouldn't surprise me if N'gog became a quality player in another club.

What a ridiculous comment, to try and compare Blake to Ngog.

Blake could be lazy, but he scored a shit load of goals and got stuck in.

I demand you apologise to the forum.

You absolute bellend! He scored some fucking great goals, played in one of the most enjoyable seasons ever when we smashed 100 goals, and generally got stuck in.

So what if he didn't want to run 50 yards to tackle back, we actually had a midfield in those days.

I think I speak for the whole forum when I say you should be beaten with a cricket bat.

Bit harsh there Nat. He was a lazy bastard, but had an eye for a goal, even though he was too lazy to chase for it at times. Compared to todays strikers he was like Ronaldinho, but at the time, nothing too wonderful.

It's OK Glos- it's just Nat being a bit menopausal. Apparently women get like that when their best days are over.
Anyway- if it's a cricket bat wielded by one of the current English Ashes team, I'm not that worried. It'll be quick with lots of misses.
And Blake was still an idle bugger

Fab De Freitas, now there was one lazy bastard.

Yeah, I know he scored against Reading at Wembley but he was actually sat on his arse when he did it so my point stands.

Yes and it was probably the best goal he scored for us too.

No thanks. With Hierro, Campo, Mark Davies, Stu Holden in midfield, our strikers score with monotonous regularity.
With Medo, Spearing, Pratley et al in midfield our strikers score next to none.
There has to be a connection somewhere.
Perhaps its the other players, the so-called midfield, who are just too poor as players to provide the strikers with striking opportunities.
Think hard about it- there's probably a connection somewhere

Are you on drugs?

Mark Davies creates nothing and Holden has been injured for the last 25 years.

Thought about it.... And Ngog is still shite, and the worst professional ever at BWFC, he has a shite attitude and only came for the big wage he was offered , by numb nuts Coyle.
