It just makes me wince when I see Knight's cockups and I honestly think he couldn't f*** it up so badly again if he tried. His case wasn't helped by all the desperate arm waving after the fact.
Nice goal from Baptiste though and Ngog did well to take his under pressure from the defender.

To be fair our build up play for both goals and on a few other occassions was good, it's just a shame our centre back makes it near impossible to win a match with 2 huge fuck ups.

Christ how shit is Knight?

I'm not trying to be wise after the event but I've played my whole career as a defender and the basic rule is that if you have the ball you take charge of the situation and play the safe option always.

For the first goal it was obviously he was trying to let the ball go through to the keeper - but it clearly had nothing like the speed or momentum to do so without the attacker getting there first.  All he had to do was take charge and thump the ball out to safety to row Z.

The second goal was even worse.

I've seen some say the fault is that of the keeper who had come out but that is complete bollocks.  Knight has the ball, he sees that the keeper isn't where he wants him to be so all he as to do is take charge of the situation and kick the ball out for a throw in or corner.  What he shouldn't do is hesitate with a player on his back.

How fucking hard is it for someone to think 'shit the keepers come out too far, I best play the ball to safety instead'???

Basic, basic, basic stuff.

He's fucking shit and so is the manager who keeps on picking the useless tosser.

What is the point of playing someone who consistently gives goals away?

Well?

Can anybody answer me that?

Well stated and NO, I can't answer you nor can anyone else. It's a mystery to all of us how he is allowed on the pitch (see first ten games)!

The answer is... We don't have better.

The guy has played almost all of his career in the premiership, captained every side and has also played for his country. It's easy to say "play Bolger" or any other of the youngsters, I've said that myself but dougie and his crew don't think the youngsters are ready, I'm happy to accept that as they work with them every day.

If he did decide to play the kids we'd still get our arses handed to us each week and people would be calling for Freedmans head for not playing experienced players.

Of course we have 'better' than starting a match a goal or two down because Knight is such a liability.

Assuming we don't get any loans in for now, play Ream and Mills at the back with Baptiste as a fullback.  The problem then is who the other full back should be.

Baptise can play either on the left or tight.

Allardyce improvised when he did not have a 'proper' left back and played Gardner (winger) and Pedersen (striker) there, both with some success.

May as well take a punt on someone who can tackle who has a bit of speed to play at the back.

Is there anyone in the first team that can do that - Spearing can tackle but how fast is he?  Same with Pratley.  Otherwise try the kid White perhaps.

Simply no point at all in playing someone who will give a goal or two each game.

I can't understand why so many managers have persisted with Knight throughout his career.  He simply can't play without someone beside him telling him what to do.  Totally unacceptable.

And how much do we pay him a week to gift goals away every game?

Pure madness - no wonder we are out of the Premier, in huge debt and heading further down the leagues.

Hayden White is good enough at this level that would either put Mills n Ream as CB's and Baptiste at Left back.Or Baptiste and Mills CB's ream left back.Ive seen Hayden White play on four occasions long legs pacy gets stuck inn.Simple Freedman it's a cup match give the lad a chance look at joe Riley when he played v Stoke won 5-0 and he was pacy eager delivered a great cross. If Knight plays that shows DF really is a prick. :dontgetit:

Has Hayden White ever played a single game at this level?

I don't think he has so it's hard to say he's "good enough"

If he's ever kicked a ball in his life he's already good enough for BWFC.
