First game of February, another tough away game. Surely this month can't be any worse than last?

Ipswich will be hoping to continue their push for a play off place whilst we struggle to stay above the drop zone. Hopefully we bring in another striker to play up top with jutkiewicz because if dougie goes 451 again I can't see past a home win.

3-1 to Ipswich and freedman closer to the door...

6.47 and he'll be "quietly confident" because we're "due a result"  Laughing

Seriously though I admire RT's general optimism. I'm going to be a bit optimistic myself and say we'll get a point. 0 - 0.

I can't make my mind up. My heart says a 1-0 away win and my head says a 1-1 draw. I'll go with my heart.

LPP was closest. He wins a night out with Breadman at the Warburtons factory.

We will take the lead in a stunning drive from new boy Juke in the 8th minute to silence the doubters (for 10 further minutes) until he's deemed surplus to requirements after his second shot only hits the bar.

in the 46th minute of the first half ipswich hit back.

they then score again in the 47th minute of the second half.

then again late on.

3-1.

Ref watch: Breakspear in charge

Charles Breakspear will take charge of Wanderers’ clash with Ipswich Town this weekend.

A relatively fresh face in the professional game having been first installed as an official in August 2012, the Surrey based referee has officiated 16 games so far this term across League One, League Two and various cup competitions.

Having brandished 66 yellows and six red cards in the process, Breakspear oversaw Portsmouth’s 1-0 win at Wycombe last time out.

Stuart Butler and Anthony Coggins will run the line, while Brendan Malone will be the fourth official.

We've had a good go at a few of the top teams now. I didn't see the QPR match, but a few people have said we were unlucky. I'll take their word for it despite knowing how fantastically carried away some people get.

It would be something to be encouraged by if we didn't consistently back these performances up with poor displays (and results) against weaker teams.

So, no optimism from me on this one.
