A game which marked Lukas Jutkiewicz’s first start for Wanderers since his loan move from Middlesbrough, the striker admitted that Saturday’s clash against Ipswich Town was one of mixed emotions for him.

With the Whites having been unlucky not to have gone into the half time break ahead following an impressive showing in the first period, David McGoldrick’s penalty kick ten minutes after the restart condemned Wanderers to defeat at Portman Road.

A bittersweet afternoon for the 24-year-old, Jutkiewicz explained his disappointment at the final result against the Tractor Boys after such a promising performance from him and his teammates.

“It definitely wasn’t the result that we wanted – it was very frustrating that like on Tuesday night against QPR. We put in a good performance yet again and we’ve come away with nothing.

“For 55 minutes, it felt like the game plan was going well and the penalty changed things completely.

“Going into the dressing room afterwards, everyone was really frustrated with the outcome of the game – we didn’t feel like we deserved to lose it.”

Back on home soil next weekend with the visit of Eddie Howe's Bournemouth, the frontman revealed that he is relishing the opportunity to get out in front of the club’s supporters on the Reebok turf.

“I’m really looking forward to playing at the Reebok,” he said. “I played there earlier in the season with Middlesbrough and I’m really excited to get back there as a Bolton player.

”We’ve got two big games coming up, so it’s important for us now to get behind each other and pick ourselves up for the next challenge.”

That will soon wear off, probably after the next game.

The next match? That's optimistic, I reckon it will wear off after 30 seconds.

I can't wait to play upfront with Jermaine, so we can at least score some goals and entertain the fans, but Dougie will just play one of us which is just fucking stupid!
