I think of that as akin to a Final Written Warning in a 'normal' job doffcocker. It's basically saying "You're finished unless you immediately improve to a degree that would rank with what happened after Jesus said "Lazarus Come Forth" and it makes the board look as if they have given him every chance and have been nice guys despite them being a large part of the ongoing problem at the club. Why can't clubs look at these things objectively? Either he's good enough or he's not. He's already had 70 matches at the club. What's another 3 gonna tell us about him that we don't already know?
Effectively it's a CYB from the board. (Cover Your Backside) that means if lawyers get involved they can state he was put through the proper disciplinary procedures as per employment law.
