Former Spain legend Fernando Hierro 45 has completed his coaching badges and when recently asked by Wanderes fans on twitter that we may need a manager soon Hierro replied he would be honoured to manage Wanderers,a team where he spent 12 months in the latter stages of his career. The source was on the Bolton Wanderers news now. What a boost that would be.The players he could attract. The feel good factor it would create.Spains captain almost 100 caps.It would be great to get rid of DF and get Hierro,it's not gonna happen but it's nice to know if the vacancy does arrive their are top people prepared to give us a go.I can dream!

Bloody hell - saw this and thought Campo. I think that would be brilliant if we could get Hierro, even though he has very little experience managing a shite club.

Get off your fat gazunk, Gartside - make it happen!

He'll have some good contacts in Spain, we could be playing like Barca in 10 years time.

Never happen.

Plus - the whole ex player thing, Coyle again?

He actually said 'I'd at least be honoured', just my interpretation but sounds more like he's being polite than anything else.

Nice of him to say so, though it's just a bit of PR.

It won't happen, I agree too, we'd lose all the progress that Freedman has made, it'll be like starting all over again.

And plus its a risk, being a new Manager and all.

Progress? Made under Freedman?

Any manager is a risk. But ask yourself this, could he be any worse than Freedman? Could the football be any worse? Could the passion on the pitch be any less?

We may not have much money, but with Hierro as manager a lot more players would consider BWFC as an option. Who the fuck signs for BWFC to play for that spanner Freedman?

Ah the old former player sentiment.

Hierro is one of the best players I have seen live, his passing was on another level, but that doesn't mean he'd automatically be a brilliant manager.

And neither does it mean he'd be a disaster.

But as I said above, it would be difficult to be any worse than Freedman - certainly in terms of entertainment.

You've got me there.

All former players are brilliant managers then.

How can we reach out to Heirro?

Dunno what the signal reception in your hippy-commune's like, but personally, I'd try ringing him or his agent.
