If you could only have one last meal what would it be?

My butcher still doesn't stock it, although he's told his wife to source some.

I'm assuming the last meal is before my execution. So I'll take something cold. Where I'm going I'll soon be able to heat it up. Very Happy

Fillet Steak, medium rare, with peas, and two slices of bread, one from Kp and one from Breadman. That would be quality.

Had a touch of the grapes of wrath over the last few weeks so I've been veggie most days just to ease the trauma of a poo. Even had veggie when we went for curry which allowed me to wind up my mate Samir by telling him I was a closet Hindu.
Anyhoo we had our best mates round for a meal and a game of cards on Saturday night and the missus, figuring it was cold, wintry weather decided to make something I haven't had for fifty years or more - boeuf bourguignon.
I had totally forgotten how good lumps of meat soaked in a bottle of crap vino and slowly cooked in the oven with bacon, mushrooms, garlic, bay, thyme, tomato and onions could taste.
Unsurprisingly, it was great with a robust red so we cracked open a Shiraz and a Primitivo.
Plus she roasted some spiralised spuds which turned out like half boiled/half crisps to serve with it - perfect.
Fantastic meal but my screams of pain yesterday told of the aftermath. Back to veggie today.

I was let loose on the new soup maker yesterday, and I have to say it was bloody delicious. No more tins for me. Home made soup in twenty minutes. Sorted.
