David Wheater believes that Wanderers’ form of late is testament to the hard work which has gone on behind the scenes at the club in recent months.
Joe Mason’s injury time strike secured all three points for the Whites against Huddersfield Town on Saturday – a win which extended the team’s unbeaten run on their travels to five.
A hard fought victory, the centre-half paid tribute to the efforts of the side as a whole in a game in which the hosts were thwarted by a number of impressive saves by Wanderers’ goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
“Adam is playing terrifically at the moment and the whole defence as a unit are playing well too,” he explained. “We’re playing with confidence and it shows that we’re working hard in training.
“We’re coming into our stride now – we just need to keep on working hard and do our best for the fans as we head towards the end of the season.
“If we play how we know we can, then we’ll have a good finish to the season.”
