Good goals taken by Sordell if you ask me!

Great strikes from Wednesday but Sordell was class.
Seemed to be playing as an out and out striker - a position he has never played for us as far as I can remember. He also looked fitter and more determined than before the loan.
If he was given that role for us and showed that sort of finishing ability, power and decent pace regularly I'd prefer him to Juke TBH. Maybe he still has a future with us?

As Chuck D said - "Don't believe the hype!"
One decent game in about three years does not a Gary Lineker make......
I'm amazed that one game is making people think he may still be worth wasting time, effort and money on.
Fingers crossed some other team comes in for him and we get a fee for him in the summer.

I don't believe it, but I've never seen him lead the line before so maybe he's found the right role.Breadman wrote:wanderlust wrote:

Sordell is a three trick pony. He has made it known he got homesick in Bolton so it's best for all concerned if he stays down south.

I suspect we'll be stuck with him, can't see Charlton making a bid unless he scores a few more goals in their last 3 games.
If we're stuck with him we have to get the best out of him. He scored goals at Watford so he's not totally useless - I still think he could be a much better option than Beckford, but you need the right manager to get the best out of certain players - and I don't think Dougie is that man.

If he had the nerve to score a hatrick for us then Doog would bench him the next game ... as he does with players who have a good game. It's tactics well beyond our feeble brains can understand.

When Sordell eventually grows up he will become a decent player, I don't see that happening anytime soon so he can go for me

He has no chance of getting a hat trick for us because Beckford or Juke will be picked ahead of him as the main striker.
Charlton finally gave him a shot in that role and it paid off - but he will never get that chance for us.

After scoring the first two, DF would sub for him, so he could get some needed rest! Not to worry.wanderlust wrote:He has no chance of getting a hat trick for us because Beckford or Juke will be picked ahead of him as the main striker.

I'd settle for two if he was played in the right position from the off. One would be good for our strikers.observer wrote:After scoring the first two, DF would sub for him, so he could get some needed rest! Apparently, Brentford want Sordell on a season long loan, he shouldn't get too homesick if he goes there.
