The club is selling the soul of the club? The soul of the club is Reebok?

That's alarming.

Some people need to get a life. A new cash sponsor can only benefit the club and maybe Macron can bring a little Italian style to the kit instead of the corporate Adidas brand or the much maligned kits provided by Reebok.

Ha ha, I could understand the reaction if the club were changing an old traditional name like 'Burnden Park' for a sponsor's name - but they're just replacing one corporate whore for another.

Who gives a shite.

Il be honest, I don't really care.

I just saw Adidas and Reebok perhaps as a more 'lucrative' sponsorship deal, Macron would have got a much cheaper deal due to our lack of clout in the market we have.

Financially, this deal does us no favors.

It's a sponsorship deal. They pay BWFC money. How does that not benefit the club?

Anyway, I bloody love macaroons.

I'm disappointed.
I can see why somebody in their 30s+ wouldn't give a shit but it's always been The Reebok for some of us. It's not like your typical "new ground", named after a company with no affinity to the club at all. Reebok started their business in Bolton over a century ago.

Whether it's a good business move is a separate matter.

I couldn't give two hoots to be quite honest, as long as they don't rename it Old trafford the 2nd then it's fine by me.

Besides we knew the stadium was going to be renamed one day, reebok haven't been a part of the club for a while now.

Why not refer to the ground as Burnden on here, it might help take the sting out of a purely financial transaction.
Yes it's a shit name but so is the DW stadium, it ain't going to change.

Old Trafford, Anfield, Goodison Park, Villa Park, Craven Cottage, White Hart Lane, Carrow Road, Selhurst Park, The Hawthorns and one or two others from the lower divisions are the only teams left who have held on to their heritage.

Unfortunately, football is now nothing more than a business and tradition and heritage comes a poor second.
