Could you get behind England if a Neville was in charge?

I'm 44 and I have never seen our national team perform properly and get past the quarter finals in a major tournament, despite what The Sun said we'd do, outside these shores.

(Yeah, I know about "1966 and all that" but I wasn't even born then. At Euro 96 we had El Tel and we gubbed the Dutch but ultimately, we did what we always do and lost on penalties to the Germans.)

However........

....there is one voice who is appearing to talk a lot of sense and it's giving me hope.

Step forward Gary Neville.

I know it's not a Bolton fan's natural state of being to acknowledge anything good coming out of Old Trafford, but he's impressed me on Sky this season.

And he knows his shit:

Neville talks a good game, but I think there's knowledge there, I'll be interested to see how he does if he gets a job.

You know, in wartime, you would get shot for saying things like that.

Disgraceful.

I wouldn't join a war now, I've been in war.

And the way I look at things now, our country isn't worth fighting for.

Every man for themselves, I am with AD.

After hearing him on sky this season and on that clip I like the cut of his jib.

Speaks sense does Mr Neville.
