If I do it will either be a throwaway £3 on a 33-1 shot, or I'll sign up for a bookies and use a free bet to back a favourite.
I am running out of bookies to sign up for and use the free bet option with though. Haven't taken the mickey out of 188Bet in this way yet, but they don't do horse racing.
My best result was this was a £50 free bet. I bet in play on Tottenham youth v Inter Milan youth earlier this season. It was 7-1 at Half Time to Tottenham youth and I bet the free £50 that Tottenham youth would win the second half, and got £85 for nothing.

Well done!
I know Reebok Trotter likes a bet, maybe you and he can start up the 'Gambling' thread on his return and see if anybody has any good tips to spread around?

I've just been down to Boots to collect a prescription and this thread motivated me to go into William Hill.
Stuck £1.50 on Mon Mome (2009 winner) 66/1 and £3 on Calgary Bay at 33/1.

I will be having a flutter tomorrow but I don't want to put the mockers on it by giving my thoughts in case anyone loses. If there are enough interested posters I am happy to put up a daily (Mon-Fri) horse racing thread.
I got a free Wanderers shirt via 188Bet at the start of the season but unfortunately they don't do horse racing. If anyone likes a flutter then I can recommend geegeez.co.uk for the best odds. Traf put me onto it and it is excellent for finding the best prices.

Just got back from the bookies. I have gone for five in total. Ballabriggs because it won last year, Hello Bud massive longshot, Mon Mome another longshot, Seabass and Synchronised. Got them all E/W so I'm not bothered in what order they finish as long as they are all in the top five.

What a great finish, and what a beautiful grey horse.

I can't remember the last time that a grey horse won. It was certainly tight.

If you went each way then you get a quarter of the odds for Cappa Blue.
