Now that we're Championship material and we know what's coming do you think we will improve on last season's finish?

I've done a simple poll just to see where we're all at.

Higher, I think we've got a better squad this season than last.

I think we will do ok but not pull up any trees - 12-9th at best.

Between 7th and 10th I reckon, I think there are at least 6 teams who are better than us unforunately:

1. Fulham
2. Norwich
3. Derby
4. Wigan
5. Cardiff
6. Forest

Then there's Boro, Watford and Brighton who I think we can compete with, but have better and more settled squads than we do.

What a cracking picture. A cross between a shredded wheat and a rusty brillo pad. Did Brucie acquire the technique from Arthur Scargill?

If we sack Dougie higher. If we keep him lower, but a shit load of bollocks excuses from the happy clappers.

Fair enough but who would YOU suggest we should replace Dougie with?

There are countless options, and none of them could do any worse than Douglas.

So countless in fact that you haven't come up with a single name!  Shocked

very optimistic first few posts lads! I can see us only doing the same again this year, slap bang mid table, Breadman's guess is the nearest in my opinion

About the same. That opinion could change based on what happens in the first few matches.

I really can't understand where all the optimism is coming from.

We've got last season's team minus some of the deadwood and Juke plus a few unknowns.

We've no obvious goalscorer in the team and I can only see Freedman sticking with 4-5-1 and trying to bore the opposition to death.

I have a feeling Beckford could come good. Decent track record at Leeds before he moved to Everton. It looks like Dougie has altered pre-season training quite dramatically so it remains to be seen whether it will work or not.

Can only say for myself, but a horrendous start fucked us last season and namely a dreadful back 4. I think Moxey Ream Wheater McNaughton is a strong back 4 in this division, good experience and quality there.

I also think we've added pace to our attack with Feeney and Hall looking like he's ready to break through (granted that's off the back of a good pre season so could be bollocks).

I'm also pretty sure Dougie will pull a striker out before the end of the transfer window, so provided that happens, I think we'll be in good shape.

So a better performance than last year, but not promotion.
