Sorry to hear your kids are so far away Martin. I know too many men like you who want to be dads but can't because of either the law or circumstances like this. I'm sure they know you love them mate but I know all too well it's not the same. I hope you get to spend some really meaningful time with them soon. All the best.MartinBWFC wrote:Nice story that Pedro, kids can make or break you mate, unfortunately mine are half way round the world, and god I miss them and their mother, lucky is an appropriate user name mate, well done.luckyPeterpiper wrote:One word mate: Children. I have two boys of my own and when my first wife left me they stayed with me. They've been the greatest single thing that ever happened to me and watching them grow up has been a privilege I know too many divorced men never get.
Later on I met Wendy of course and her two lovely daughters are now as much mine as the boys are but I chose the username on the old BBC606 because I'd just "won" (I don't like that word in divorce courts because only lawyers really win there) residence and custody of my lads and it's stuck ever since.
Giving up the booze.

Obviously you thought it was funny, because I didn't, just stating the fact that you are uncomfortable around women, you can just tell.bwfc1874 wrote:

You have just stereotyped Scottjames as someone who is a benefits scrounger who wastes his money on steroids with going pumping iron all the time, read back what you said.bwfc1874 wrote:karlypants wrote:Quite like the funny fags...bwfc1874 wrote:scottjames30 wrote:Girls won't bite you, relax.bwfc1874 wrote:

I'm not comfortable with my taxes being paid then for your illegal drug use, god knows why you would want to go and float onto another planet, I would have thought this planet would have been enough...
God knows why

Unless Karly can answer my question he'll be taking Magoo's title I'm afraid.

Gone from most nights of the week from after work to about 2am to virtually not drinking at all.
I tend to go out once every 3 or 4 weeks and then its only a Friday evening in Manchester and at most 6 pints, but most other time, don't even drink and even say no when offered nowadays (which tends to shock some of my friends)

Well that experiment went well.......
I made it 'til Friday, which given I decided to try and knock it on the head on Monday and I never drink during the week anyway, isn't that spectacular a success.
Back to the drawing board......
