Next seasons squad!

We should be expecting to be better next season. Certainly no worse. If we stay up that is. A lot of teams lose older or good players to retirement or through selling. At the moment we don't have any players who I would expect to be sold on (except deadwood) - and we don't have any older players I would regret losing.

Next season our squad could be looking decent with a few potential returns from injury and a couple of astute signings. What are the thoughts on here?

add a couple of new faces, as long as they are decent and we could be looking ok.

That squad would survive in the Premier League, but if we somehow stay up this time, we will be down by Christmas next season. No way will the PL be so pisspoor ever again.

Yeah we said we'd be a lot better this season.

what is it about the start of seasons that sends people mental, i actually remember people predicting Europe after we beat QPR 4-0.

Hopefully we can invest in some new wing backs but to me this looks much stronger than any team we have had this year.

We should be fine, don't forget if the season had begun at new years then we wouldn't be in relegation, the first half of the season we were plagued by injuries, had we had the squad that we play now all season then we wouldn't be in relegation (I understand we wouldn't be far off but we would be pretty safe with say.. villa or around there).

And to put things into perspective for people who refuse to blame our injurys to some extent and just lay %100 blame on Coyle, 4 of the above have had major injuries this year (maybe 5 but I don't know if Mears is better than Steinsson), two of them are best players. Few clubs could cope with that.

You win nowt with kids. We need some experience in the squad, but most importantly, whatever division we are in, we need to sign a captian.

We select players for are team? I don't get how this is relevant.

Its not like our squad is a bunch of 19 year olds, I would say 25-26 isn't too young an average age for a squad.

Experienced players = high wages + no sell on fee = £110 million debt.

I can see most of the players in the Fringes section of Biggie's list being shown the door in the Summer. In fact, I would say the departure of the likes of Jussi and Klasnic is imperative if we are to have any funds for new signings. Big earners.

My mole* tells me that Steinsson is off to Sunderland in the Summer and that K Davies and Petrov are on the verge of signing new deals.

I would be more impressed and excited about seeing that squad if Coyle wasn't in charge to be honest.

I simply don't trust him bringing in news players anymore to be honest and getting the best out of our players.
