Nah... Gartside said he would take 100,000 quid from the next manager. The question is who would pay us to manage!scottjames30 wrote:It'll be someone cheap, 250k-500k a year, Ipswich paid Big Mick 1 Million a year ,I'd have Dave Flitcroft from Bury.

I said before the season that if he had a similar first 5/6 games as last season he couldn't have any complaints if he was sacked. It's looking that way now, I'm just not sure what good it will do. It's been a shit few years and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better with the finances and squad we have,
so I don't really know where we go from here.

The ways to "success" are either DF/someone else is able to galvanise this group of players into a big run or DF/someone else will have to put their faith in 5 or 6 young players, something that will either be a disaster or have a slow growth over 2-3 years.
I'd much rather go for the second option personally because I don't see the first as "success" quite honestly. Though many do, granted.

Unfortunately, it looks like the club has decided it's done spending money, meaning we're stuck with Freedman, and even if we sacked him, his successor wouldn't get anything to spend.
It's not just about spending money though. A manager is supposed to improve the players he has - how many are better players than when Freedman took over?
And, as you say, the times he has had money to spend he's bought dross - Beckford, Craig Davies, Spearing, Trotter etc.
Time to go.

The Leeds match next week is vital, lose and we'll already be 3 points adrift.
I'll take a defeat if it gets shut of Freedman.

Leeds had 2 players sent off today and seem to be fairly crap themselves, so we could beat them.

Leeds have a Conference manager, so Douglas could really learn from him.

Nathan Dyer used to play for Burnley Hipster.
I'm not sure what the point of the picture is in relation to what I said.

For once I'm with Hipster on this.
Anybody that didn't anticipate this sort of season is an idiot in my book.

I'd take relegation to get rid of Freedman as this sides shit ,get a forward thinking manager bring the kids n balance it up with a few senior pros and start from the drawing board.
Do what Southampton did,do what we did get players who once they start winning get that winning mentality n carry on losing becomes a habit. We have had 2 now 3 seasons where we have started off woes each year.Owen Coyle 4 games 4 points, last season 4 games 2 points, this season 4 games 1 point.
The defence can't stop leaking goals cos we have 1/3 rd possession in a match. The midfield is the greater problem all this 2 holding,no creation.Maybe Mavies may change the dynamics of the team.
DF is a cock, before the match he stated Brighton were predictable! This guy is fucking Priceless!2014-08-23
