Imagine how bad their form must be if ours is "terrible"

Who gives two hoots about them teams, they are safe, bar 2 who are already pretty much gone.

We on the other hand are in the relegation zone having won only 3 league games in 10, we're not on exactly the best run either.

To say we played well at Newcastle is all well and good but we still lost at the end of the day, just a shame it took a piss poor performance against Fulham to spark them into life.

So a good run has to have caveats.

it has to have been wins against good teams.

the form table is irrelevant if any of the teams below you in said table, are safe from relegation.

when your last 6 games doesn't paint a bad picture, extend the number of games a bit, to make it sound worse.

No one is trying to say we've had a good season it's been absolutely shocking, and i agree it's a shame 3 wins has become a "good" run for us. It is what it is I'm afraid.

I just think people are trying to negate the wins we've had because it's us. If Wigan had won the games we had people would be saying "they've done what they've needed to do, their battling, their getting the job done"

At the moment there are five teams in a relegation dogfight but if Villa lose at home to Sunderland then the odds increase to six teams. If we can beat Swansea tomorrow then our midweek game away to Villa has massive implications especially if Villa have lost.

All this talk about good runs is bollocks, and lets not forget Super John is, literally, in another world. Take a step back, look where we are, consider the mental and physical make-up of the team, their tactical nous, and the pressure they are under. They haven't performed consistently throughout the season, why should they now, with the same players ? Although this is a very unpredictable part of the season, to expect us to burst into life, and clear the board for points, is just too optimistic. We can only take each game as it comes, and hopefully we will pull in enough points to stagger over the finishing line.
