After the international break Joe Mason says he can’t wait to be back in action and help fire Bolton up the Sky Bet Championship table.
The Trotters play consecutive home games at Macron Stadium over a four-day period, first welcoming Sheffield Wednesday to BL6 this weekend.
And ahead of the game Mason stressed the importance building momentum on home soil.
“We’re all really looking forward to getting back out on the pitch this weekend.
“We were all disappointed with the results that led into the international break and if truth be told we probably wanted another game straight away.
“We know important it is that we get right back out there and start winning some games and moving up the league table.”
Mason, who is on loan at Wanderers for the season, has previously scored against this weekend’s opponents. Whilst on the books of his hometown club Plymouth he netted a brace in a 4-2 win at Hillsborough in March 2011.
And ahead of the Owls’ visit to Bolton Mason would love to repeat that feat to reward the home fans for their continued support.
He added: “Personally, I enjoy playing at home in front of our fans and it would be nice to reward them with a positive performance and three points against Sheffield Wednesday.
“It has been a long time since we last played at home, and if we are to progress up the league table and have a really positive season it is important our home form is good.”
