Wanderers have indicated that Dougie Freedman will be in charge for Saturday’s home clash with Bournemouth.
The club have confirmed that Freedman will take his weekly press conference at Euxton tomorrow afternoon as normal despite mounting calls for him to be removed from the post.
Freedman expects a difficult atmosphere at the Macron Stadium but remains convinced he can change opinions by changing his side’s results.
“We’re professionals. We turn up and do a professional job,” he said of the potential negativity this weekend.
“I understand the fans’ frustration but as I’ve said before, people should only be upset with me.
“What I will do is turn up on Saturday and try and pick a team that has characters in it, with a bit of fight and a bit of spirit and then hopefully somewhere down the line they don’t give any errors away.”
