Max Clayton could make his Wanderers bow tomorrow as Dougie Freedman looks for some way to solve his goalscoring problems.
The youngster has been feeling his way to fitness after missing pre-season with Crewe as he searched for a new club.
But the 20-year-old has looked sharp in training and Freedman hinted that he could be involved in the squad to face Bournemouth at the Macron Stadium, boosting a strikeforce that has scored just once in their last four games.
“He played 70 minutes for the development squad the other day,” the manager said. “We didn’t want to rush him back and risk him getting injured so midweek would be too soon. I think Saturday is more likely that he’ll get some game time.”
